Berkshire won this return match by 3 wickets on the second day. The match between the two sides at Bletchley in July had been won by Berkshire. For the winners Brougham scored 122 which contained 22 fours. Lockhart and Hawksworth added 66 runs for the last wicket in the first innings. Lockhart took 10 wickets in the match for 183 runs including 6 for 104 in the Buckinghamshire first innings.
For Buckinghamshire Shaw scored 57 which included 1 six and 8 fours and Leat scored 51 not out with 4 sixes and 5 fours. Wright took 9 wickets in the match for 79 runs. The match finished in an unusual way with Lockhart hitting a catch to point but as a no ball had been called it proved to be the winning run.
