Surrey 2nd XI won this return match by 112 runs at 5.00 pm on the second day, after Glamorgan had required in their second innings 186 runs to win in just under 3 hours. Surrey had also won the game between the two sides a week before at The Oval. For the winners, Davis took 9 wickets in the match for 62 runs, including 7 for 35 in the Glamorgan second innings. Nightingale took 5 for 8 in the Glamorgan second innings. Baker's 44 was the top score of the match, and contained 5 fours. For the losers, Creber took 13 wickets in the game, including 8 for 101 in the Surrey 2nd XI second innings. A feature of the match was the wicket-keeping of Brain who stumped 6 batsmen in the Surrey second innings and stumped 7 and caught 1 in the match. Creber was the bowler in every case. The feat was all the more interesting as Brain may not have kept wicket if Riches had been able to play.
