This return match was drawn with Hertfordshire winning on first innings by just 1 run. When the ninth Hertfordshire wicket fell 19 runs were still needed for first innings lead. Harford joined Cuthbertson and the objective was achieved. There were several interruptions from showers on the first day, and rain ended play early on both days. The game between the two sides at Watford in July had been won by Hertfordshire. For the visitors, H E White took 7 wickets for 56 runs in the Buckinghamshire first innings, and Titchmarsh scored 65. For the home team, Hobbs scored 70 and Weaver-Adams 54 not out. In the Buckinghamshire first innings, Hobbs and Vickerstaff added 62 runs for the last wicket.
