Oxfordshire won this match by 4 wickets at 5.20 pm on the second day, after requiring 130 runs for victory in two hours. For the winners, Brooks top scored with 53. For the losers, Steeples took 10 wickets in the match for 85 runs. Diver scored 50.
Poulton was taken ill on the second day and took no further part in the match. Eade's knee gave way on the second day and though he returned to the field with it strapped up, he did not bowl again.
