Winning by seven wickets at 4.50 pm on the second day, Glamorgan completed the double over Wiltshire having also won the match at Trowbridge in July. For the winners, Creber took 12 wickets in the match for 137 runs. There were 9 fours in J H Brain's 61 and 9 fours in Bancroft's 56. In the Glamorgan first innings, J H Brain and Bancroft put on 105 runs for the sixth wicket, which was the second highest for that wicket during the season. For Wiltshire, Smith took 8 wickets for 73 runs in the Glamorgan first innings, which was statistically the equal third best bowling performance during the season. Medlicott top-scored with 56. Miller kept wicket for Wiltshire when Smart bowled. When Radcliffe's score reached 17 in the Wiltshire first innings, he became the county's first player to reach the career milestone of one thousand runs in championship matches.
