Three late withdrawals from the Waikato team, JR Bailey (wicket-keeper) injured his hand at work, HT Schuster's father became ill and MG Pocock had a bruised heal, meant that 2 High School players, RJF Hawke and JG Gibson were called in with no 12th man named and BH Pairaudeau performing the wicket-keeping duties
