The match was marred by a dispute when H.Lewis, the West Indian wicket-keeper who hadn't take any part in the match so far, appeared at the crease to bat. The RAF Transport Command captain objected to his appearance and a long argument ensued. In the end the captain withdrew his objection, under protest, and the game continued. H.Lewisfailed to score and the West Indians team lost the match.
