Match notes
On the opening day the Western Australian bowlers did well to dismiss New South Wales for a quite reasonable total, Robbins in particular keeping the run scoring well in check. On the second day it was only a late effort by Savage who scored 52 out of 61 that saved Western Australia from a much more severe defeat.
