G Baigent was run out when backing up by T Barker in the Sussex second innings
Rain prevented play on the second day. Redgate also kept wicket when not bowling. 'Woodward, thinking the ball had reached the boundary and considering it dead, left his ground, although it had not been in the hands of the wicketkeeper nor had the umpire called the runs.'
