Biography: | Joined reporting staff of Daily Express, London, 1909; afterwards wrote for a number of papers, principally the Observer and Pall Mall Gazette and became Sporting Editor of The Times in 1919; served European War with RASC, attached for the last three years to Headquarters, Third Cavalry Division with BEF in France (MC and bar); did many broadcasts on the Derby, Grand National, St Leger and other important races |
