Biography: | He was styled Honourable from 1895 as a son of the second Baron Aberdare, and succeeded to the title 3rd Baron Aberdare of Duffryn in February 1929. Chairman, National Fitness Council 1937-39; member of the International Olympic Committee 1931-51. Director of Duffield, Lindley and Co (fuel engineering) and other companies. Appointed CBE 1949, and GBE 1954 for services to young people's organisations. |
