Nelson have signed their former professional Robin Peterson as professional for the forthcoming season.

Peterson scored three half centuries in hitting 367 runs at 52.4 in the ten Lancashire League matches that he played in 2006. His slow left arm orthodox spin took 37 wickets at 11.9 with a best of 7-41. Peterson also led Nelson into the Worsley Cup Final before he was recalled home. He was replaced by New Zealander Craig McMillan for the remainder of 2006 and the following two seasons.
Peterson will play under a new captain at Seedhill following Mike Bradley's decision to retire. Chairman Milton Lord said: "Michael has been a fantastic servant for the club but we are fortunate to have a strong second eleven, who won the double last season, so we have ready made replacements in every department."
Nelson will play three matches in Majorca on a pre-season tour in early April.
