Player: | EC Rainsford |
DateLine: 20th February 2007
In the couple of years that he has played for Zimbabwe Ed Rainsford has done reasonably well and the tall right arm medium pace swing and seam bowler bids fair to be the sides spearhead for some time to come. Another of the youngsters who got the big break in the wake of the rebel players withdrawing in 2004 Rainsford took some time to settle down. After a rather unimpressive start to his ODI career he did much better when recalled in 2006 his best being three for 16 against Kenya at Harare besides doing well on the tour of West Indies and against Bangladesh at home. He was a member of the squad for the Champions Trophy in India.
