Teenage all-rounder Ruaidhri Smith hit the headlines on his Championship debut for Glamorgan against Kent at the SWALEC Stadium in 2013 as the young all-rounder claimed a wicket with his maiden delivery in first-class cricket.

Born in Glasgow and educated at Shrewsbury School, Ruaidhri is a product of the Glamorgan development programme having played for the Welsh countys 2nd XI for several years. He has also featured for the Scottish Under 19 side as well as their full international side in various List A games and tournaments.
The 2014 season saw the young all-rounder score his maiden Championship fifty against Gloucestershire, as well as taking career-best figures of 3/38 against Hampshire at the Ageas Bowl, before a foot injury saw him miss the second half of the summer.
He is currently studying Mathematics at Bristol University.
