The Bahamas continued to dominate the ICC Americas Central Division Under-15 Tournament by once again defeating Cayman Islands today at Haynes Oval, Nassau, Bahamas. The host nation asserted its strength by beating the opposition by 9-wickets, thereby winning all three of their tournament matches played to date by the same margin. Having won the toss, Cayman went to bat first and got off to a respectable start, reaching the 50-run mark with the loss of just one wicket. However, that changed quickly as the next six wickets fell cheaply for 30 runs. The demolition was led by Matthew Jesubatham who had a four wicket haul (4 for 19 in 6 overs). Then Paul Laidlaw (19 not out) and Joneil Bent (9 not out) combined for an unbeaten 35 run partnership to raise Caymans total to 115 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted 30 overs.

The run chase got off to a flying start with Turan Brown belting a boundary off the very first ball of the inning. The Bahamas looked solid in their batting once again by always staying ahead of the required run rate. Brown fell for 37 runs (five fours), but the total had already reached 95 runs. Then his opening partner Akash Galati excelled by continuing to score freely to carry his team home comfortably at 119 runs for one wicket in 20 overs. When Galati scored the match winning runs with a boundary he also jubilantly brought up his career maiden fifty. Galatis knock included seven boundaries.
With this win, The Bahamas is well in the lead (3-0) over Cayman and Belize. Sundays match will feature Cayman Islands and Belize. The tournament concludes on Monday with the final match between Belize and The Bahamas. All matches start at 11.00 am.LATEST SCORES
