Scorecard: | Lancashire v Yorkshire |
Player: | MP Vaughan, G Keedy, SD Parry, AG Prince |
Event: | Twenty20 Cup 2009 |
DateLine: 29th May 2009
Yorkshire succumbed to their traditional rivals Lancashire as they were thumped by six wickets. Ashwell Prince guided his team to the target of 106 with 4.3 overs to spare.

Yorkshire won the toss and elected to bat first. But they suffered a huge setback when they lost Andrew Gale first delivery of the match, and never recovered from that blow. The spin duo of Gary Keedy and Stephen Parry worked their magic around the Yorkshire batsmen as they claimed five wickets for 43 in their spell. For Yorkshire Michael Vaughan got their innings back on track with sublime 36 from 31 balls. Deon Kruis gave Yorkshire a glimmer of hope as he got two wickets in his first three overs, but Prince's cool 44 from 34 balls took Lancashire to win.
