Player: | HP Evans |
Herbie Evans played cricket as an amateur for Glamorgan between 1920 and 1922, and professional football for Cardiff City and Tranmere Rovers.

Evans was a useful right-handed batsman and he played in three Minor County matches in 1920, before playing one Championship match, against Worcestershire at the Arms Park in 1922.
After an amateur career with Cardiff Corinthians and one Welsh amateur cap in 1922, Evans turned professional and joined the Ninian Park club. He subsequently made 94 appearances as a wing-half for the Cardiff club, as well as six Welsh caps, but his career was dogged by leg injuries, and in 1926, whilst playing for Tranmere, he broke his right leg and was forced to retire.
