HULTON, Campbell Arthur Grey.

Born at Manchester, Lancashire, 16th March 1846.
Died at Marylebone, London, 23rd June 1919.
Educated at Rossall (1855-58) and at Aldenham, he lived at Whalley Range, Manchester and played his club cricket for the Cheetham Hill Club, he was a merchant in Manchester and by 1905 he had moved to Stockport. He was first selected by Lancashire in 1869 and played for them in eight first-class matches between then and 1882. He also played for Cheshire twice (1874-75). He was father of C.B. Hulton (MCC1903) and J.M.Hulton (MCC 1903-05). He was elected a member of the M.C.C. in 1888, and was appointed to the committee of that Club in 1913.
In the 1881 Census he is shown in residence at Cedars, College Road, Withington, Lancashire, aged 35, a merchant (house trade). His wife is Florence, aged 27, and there are two sons Blythia C. aged 3 and Adam R. aged 2. There are four domestic servants.
